Winter golf at Fringe: package or Club Membership?

Compare Fringe Golf’s Winter Pro 8, Winter Tour 16 and annual Club Membership with Book & Play. See the sessions, booking steps and questions to check.

If you want to play at Fringe regularly this winter, the useful choice is between a fixed bundle of bay sessions and an annual membership that renews its included sessions each month. Our Winter Pro 8 and Winter Tour 16 packages suit a defined number of visits; Club Membership suits someone who expects Fringe to be part of their routine throughout the year. And if you are still finding out how often you will come, Book & Play lets you start with one session.

All of these routes are for our Trackman iO simulator bays at New Era Square. They are different ways to book the same kind of bay time, not different levels of welcome. A bay booking does not turn into a coached lesson, putting session or putter fitting.

Book & Play when your plans are still taking shape

A standard Book & Play session is currently listed at £25 for the first golfer, plus £7.50 for each additional golfer. You choose a bay, time and player count through YourGolfBooking. Each of our four bays can take up to five golfers, and the listed session lasts an hour, except the final hour of opening, which is 55 minutes.

For someone trying an indoor round for the first time, that simple booking can be more useful than committing to eight or sixteen visits before you know how Fringe fits your diary. The same applies if your visits are occasional or depend on when friends are free. You do not need a membership to book a bay.

Choose Winter Pro 8 when eight visits feel realistic

Winter Pro 8 currently costs £180 for eight simulator sessions, or £22.50 per session when you use all eight. You buy the package through YourGolfBooking; the sessions are then added to the account used for the purchase. When you want to visit, you book a Standard Sim Session and redeem a package session at checkout.

That is a practical middle ground for a golfer who already expects to return but does not need a monthly allocation. You can plan your visits around your own calendar rather than buying a separate one-off booking each time. The published offer says the package is available to purchase until 28 February 2027. It does not clearly state the last date on which purchased sessions can be used, so check that before buying if you expect to spread your visits over a long period.

Choose Winter Tour 16 when you expect to come more often

Winter Tour 16 currently costs £296 for sixteen simulator sessions, or £18.50 each if you use all sixteen. The booking process is the same as Pro 8: purchase in YourGolfBooking, then choose a Standard Sim Session and redeem one of your available sessions at checkout. The published purchase deadline is also 28 February 2027.

The larger package rewards a firmer plan to visit. If you expect only a handful of winter sessions, the lower per-session figure does not help unless you actually use the bundle. On the other hand, someone who already has regular playing partners or a predictable weekly slot may find sixteen visits easier to picture. Count the visits you are likely to make, rather than choosing by the headline per-session price alone.

Choose Club Membership for a year-round routine

Our Club Membership is an annual commitment currently listed at £1,200. It includes eight simulator sessions each month, with the allocation refreshing monthly. At all eight sessions in every month, that is £12.50 per included session across the year. That figure depends on using the full allocation; your actual cost per visit will be higher if you come less often.

Membership also changes the group calculation. You can bring up to five golfers in total on an included Member session without additional-player fees. The Club Membership page lists other benefits, including a complimentary swing evaluation, a Putting Studio induction and access to that studio after induction, subject to availability. Those are specific membership benefits with their own conditions; they are not part of an ordinary bay package, and a standard simulator booking is not a coached session.

This option makes more sense if you want frequent bay time beyond winter and value the way you use Fringe with other people. Eight sessions every month is quite a different pattern from eight or sixteen sessions bought as a fixed bundle. Before joining, check the current membership terms and whether the monthly allocation suits the way you really play.

How do you make the choice without guessing?

Think first about the shape of your visits. One trial or irregular visits point towards Book & Play. A known number of winter sessions points towards Pro 8 or Tour 16. A steady year-round rhythm, particularly if you often bring others, is the reason to consider Club Membership.

Then check the terms that could change your decision. Our current pages do not clearly spell out when unused package sessions expire or whether an additional-player fee applies when redeeming a package session. Ask us before purchase if either matters to you. Membership explicitly removes additional-player fees on its included sessions, but its monthly allocation should be weighed against the annual payment and how often you will actually visit.

You can compare the current prices and book through our Play Golf page. Choose the arrangement that fits the golf you are likely to play, and use the live page for the latest offer rather than an older article.
