We offer both specialist putting lessons and Scotty Cameron fitting at Fringe Golf in Sheffield. They share a data-led setting, but they answer different questions. A lesson is for understanding and developing your putting. A fitting is for choosing a putter and setup that suit you.

Book a lesson when you want help with your putting
Our Phil Kenyon Putting Studio is led by Ben Mason, our resident putting coach. In a lesson, the coach looks at your putting, asks what you want to change and uses the tools that are useful for that conversation. The studio includes an adjustable Zen Green Stage, SAM PuttLab and high-speed video analysis. That does not mean every device is used in every appointment; the coach decides what helps you.
A lesson is the stronger starting point when your question is “What is happening in my putting?” or “What should I work on?” It is a separate specialist booking, not part of a standard simulator bay session.
Choose a fitting when you are considering a Scotty Cameron
Our Scotty Cameron fitting service helps you assess models and specifications against your stroke and preferences. The current page offers several levels of fitting with different lengths, tests and inclusions. Some fittings lead to a recommendation while the putter is purchased separately; the top-tier offer lists a putter as included. Check the exact option before booking or budgeting.
A fitting is the clearer choice when your question is “Which Scotty Cameron and setup should I buy?” It may involve analysis of your stroke, but its central decision is equipment.
What happens in the Putting Studio?
The Phil Kenyon Putting Studio is a dedicated space, apart from our Trackman simulator bays. The Zen Green Stage can create slopes and breaks; SAM PuttLab and video can help make putting patterns visible. The useful part is how the specialist interprets that information with you, not the number of tools in the room.
What if you are unsure?
If you are mainly looking to understand your present game, start by asking about a lesson. If you are ready to assess putters, ask about fitting. If you are somewhere between the two, tell us what you hope to leave with before choosing an appointment. We can point you to the appropriate current service without pretending one session does every job.
